1991: Awarded Major Creative Development Grant to help prepare major works for international exhibitions outside of NZ by Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of NZ
1992: Gold Medal and Diploma of Honour, XIII Biennale Internationale De Ceramique Art, Vallauris, Southern France. (Medaille D'or) for the ceramic painting, "Conservation New Zealand Dream".
1993: Awarded NZ Japan Foundation Grant to make quality artworks and sculptures, lectures and hold 2 exhibitions in Japan.
1994: Award of Merit for Functional Ceramic Art, Royal Easter Shows, Auckland, NZ; Jury Prize and Medal for Excellence for Painted Works, 2nd Cairo International Biennale for Ceramic Art. 2002: Premier Ceramic Award for two wood-fired cut textured bottles, anagama fired over 4 days – judge Margaret Sumich (Akld, NZ). The Franklin Ceramic Award 2002.
